Welcome Block

Welcome

I am delighted you have expressed an interest in the post of Chief Executive Officer for The Learning Trust. We were formed as a Multi Academy Trust in 2016 and are now entering the next stage of our evolution. With the planned retirement of our existing CEO we are looking to appoint a new CEO with the values, ambition and strategic leadership to lead us through that so that we can provide excellent education for children and young people.

Having established a strong foundation in providing excellent central services we need to turn our focus on securing further school improvement on a bespoke basis reflecting the differing needs of our schools. This must however be within framework of a clear Trust-wide educational vision and an agreed development strategy and standards. We are keen to expand, particularly but not exclusively in the Primary Sector by attracting schools which share our values and where we can identify mutual benefit. We must continue to provide lean and effective support services which allow our schools to focus maximum resources on students, identifying if there are further opportunities to extend central provision.

In summary we are local “family” Trust, ambitious for all our schools and our students, committed to achieving the highest standards whilst caring for each and every student and member of staff as individuals.

Our new Chief Executive must be someone who is aligned to our values and who demonstrates exceptional leadership capabilities. They must share our passion and drive for taking The Learning Trust further and to ensuring that the children and young people who attend our schools have access to an outstanding education so that we can give them the expertise and confidence to succeed. If that is you then I would encourage you to contact Martin Blair at Hays Leadership on 07736791138 or at martin.blair@hays.com for a private and confidential discussion about the opportunity.

I look forward to hearing from you and how you can support our Trust to achieve its aims.

About The Learning Trust Block

About The Learning Trust

Based in Chester, TLT is an aspirational cross-phase MAT of four schools: Christleton High, Queen’s Park High, Chester International School and Belgrave Primary. The Trust was founded on the principle that individual schools are generally best placed to understand and meet the need of their students and local communities. As such Headteachers and their Governing Bodies are given a high degree of autonomy but within an agreed framework. However, the Trust also believes that there are great mutual benefits to be derived from joint-working across the Trust to share expertise and resources and to give students and staff the opportunity to experience a range of learning environments.
